Wild Animals

Parrot

Parrots are birds of all colors that usually originate from a warm habitat — think rainforests, grasslands, savannas, semi-arid regions, and even islands. A few species buck this trend and prefer colder climates, such as the Kea parrot, which inhabits the alpine regions of the South Island of New Zealand.

Sea Turtles

Sea turtles are large, air-breathing reptiles that inhabit tropical and subtropical seas throughout the world. Their shells consist of an upper part (carapace) and a lower section (plastron). Hard scales (or scutes) cover all but the leatherback, and the number and arrangement of these scutes can be used to determine the species.

Peacock

Peacocks are the male versions of the Peafowl birds. This name has been provided to two different species of these birds which are the prime members of the family of Pheasants. There are different types of birds belonging to this family and the peacock bird is just one of them.

Flamingo

The only flamingo species that naturally appears in North America, the American flamingo is occasionally considered a subspecies of the greater flamingo, and both birds are members of the Phoenicopteridae bird family.

Dolphin

Dolphins are aquatic mammals that belong to the infraorder “Cetacea” a group of animals that includes whales, dolphins, and porpoises. They also belong to the parvorder “Odontoceti,” which are the toothed cetaceans.
